Hello Readers,
So warmly welcome to my tiny world after a long vacation of semester 2 . I'm literature Student from MK Bhavnagar university from DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH.... and it's our first blog of Semester 3 and it's also a part of "SUNDAY READING". For the very first it Happens with us that we are welcoming and log in our Google Class tasks from Home. And these all because of this COVID 19 (Corona virus).
Now a Days some words are a part of vocabulary and unfortunately plying a
non- welcoming role in our life. Frequently some words like pandemic , epidemic , quarantine, social distance, lockdown and the positive word is most Scary and negative it self. As we all are facing this situation of
Coronavirus itself COVID 19 the most Devastating and Non discriminatory calamity on the whole world. So as a literature student i just have to read some stuff about this viruses and I found a book which is relevant with situation and circumstances
" THE PLAGUE" By ALERT CAMUS :
(click here to read the original book) The task's Guideline by Dr. Dilip Barad sir Click here to read.
Video : Albert Camus:
This video give the explanation about the novel and how people survive at that time.
The plague (French: La peste) published 1947 and it's about Sweeping with French Algerian city, Oran. This book is written in Sparse and Haunting prose. The Plague, a novel about a virus that spreads uncontrollably from animals to humans and ends up destroying half the population of a representative modern town.
The plague is very reliable with COVID 19 which is we are suffering today. The main character of Dr Rieux has got the most important point through the camus. He trt to understand that the vulnerability of humans that the small virus have a power to destroyed. tidy he try to understand that the life is very short... Against virus there's no Difference of people like how wealthy or which power human have. There's no class depends. Camus has explained the concept of absurdity through the novel.
Recently a Gujarati newspaper published Albert Camus's novel The Plague in Gujarati translation by Paresh Vyas. It covers both the thing together the current situation of CoVID-19 pandemic and facts and reasons behind the relevance of the novel.
1. Humanity - human self-centeredness vs human sacrifice
"History Repeats".... Like it's permanent quote for indian citizen. Cause this is not first time that we are facing these kind of problems and circumstances first time. Alert write up about the HUMAN SELF- CENTEREDNESS VS HUMAN SACRIFICE. He puts character DOCTOR BERNARD RIEUX to understand his point well. He Perfomend his duty well and being a good Doctor he's also a good person as well. He payed struggle also. Otho was also inspired by his sincerity towards the nation. These guy's work are very appreciate. They forget their families. Child.... And the similarly situations happened now. That's why people says that the Temples are closed and DOCTOR, SWEEPERS, POLICE are our God now. પેલું કહેવાય છે ને કે માનો તો પથ્થર માં પણ ભગવાન મળી જાય એટલે આવા પરોપકારી લોકો ને અત્યારે ભગવાન માણવાનો સમય આવ્યો છે. In the situations of corona there are many people survive without food, home but our government working day... Night for them to help him. All peoples are helping each and every person which are not a social works and not working to making news... Increase TRP... But yes it's our responsibility... Thus, some people make silly mistakes ....
(it's Damn true) and current situation of India..
It's bitter but damn true that people can understand about situation about future have lot's of concern but why the devalued... ?
It's harm our future.... Also harm our upcoming generation.
